I'm a final year NCAD Painting student. I'm 5'5 in height and I have never broken a bone. My paintings stem from my painful journey with endometriosis, I began to paint to deal with the amount of physical pain I was experiencing, as words failed me, and once I started I never stopped and I don't think I ever will. I hope you find a moment of connection in my work, whether you like it or not. My work mainly stems from my illness, looking at the world around me through the lens of a young Irish woman in pain. Since the beginning of my painting journey my inspirations have branched off into a variety of subjects like contemporary online culture, intimate relationships of all kinds and feelings of obsurdity. I have found I'm not drawn to any particular style of painting as not all I want to express shows up the same visually in my mind. Works below.
